Mr. Mark Aubry joins DailyClout to discuss forging ahead in the New Health Economy

A New Health Economy

Mr. Mark Aubry is the founder and CEO of Impact Health and RHM, both health management businesses that were launched just prior to the COVID era and are aimed at training medical professionals to approach their own practice and patients in a manner that puts patients first. The goal of Mr. Aubry’s companies is to train health professionals to structure their own medical practices utilizing methods and goals that focus on a broad view of the patient’s healthcare, in direct opposition to the current corporate medical system within which most practitioners are currently engulfed.

Mr. Aubry joined the DailyClout to discuss how he helps medical professionals navigate the “new health economy”, one that moves away from being dictated to by pharmaceutical companies. Mr. Aubry and his colleagues have identified three categories that patients generally fall into:

1. Dejected and Hopeless –People who have essentially been abandoned by the medical healthcare system, and told to go home and wait to die.

2. Chronically Ill – People who have a chronic condition that they live with daily. In the US, over 60% of people are living with one chronic disease and 42% of people are living with two or more.

3. Optimization –  People who are overall healthy, and are interested in taking control of their health and maintaining it in a wholesome manner.

“You Can’t Fix Something that’s Working Exactly as it was Designed” 

Mr. Aubry noted that the current corporate medical system may be broken in the eyes of the patient, but it’s working as it was designed by the system itself, which makes it nearly impossible to either change the system for the better or break it completely. The current medical system has an endless supply of customers who are getting more and more dependent on its products, which in turn can make the patient sicker. Given the nature of the beast that is the corporate medical system, and understanding that it would be nearly impossible to improve, Mr. Aubry and his colleagues are forging a new path within a new health economy.

Hopefully, more and more people will understand that there is a growing new approach to healthcare and will make the move over to the parallel health economy. Similar to other private healthcare companies in this space, Impact Health and RHM do not work with insurance companies and instead have transparent costs and prices.

“The Current System Makes White Coat Factory Workers” 

The medical system is designed to incentivize doctors to see as many patients as they can, as quickly as they can. Mr. Aubry calls it a factory system, with patients in, drugs dispensed, and patients out. While most doctors surely would ideally prefer to give every patient the time and attention he needs, the system within which they work is simply not designed to do so, instead creating what Mr. Aubry calls “white coat factory workers”.

Health Management 

The first thing Impact Health and RHM do when a new patient comes to them is establish a baseline health profile based on a variety of tests and create a comprehensive 12-month plan together with the patient to improve his health in all areas possible. Patients have access to doctors both in person and virtually if necessary, using telehealth to enhance the doctor-patient relationship.

Mr. Aubry and his colleagues have pinpointed four things that patients who are actively looking to improve their healthcare seek out:

1. Personal Relationship – Doctors who will cultivate a personal relationship with their patients, allowing for a comprehensive understanding of the patient’s lifestyle, and taking the time to explore the best possible path forward.

2. Time and Advice – Doctors who will take the time to properly consider and advise their patients throughout their patients’ health journeys.

3. DIY Health – Partially due to the information warfare we’ve been subjected to, patients are increasingly looking for ways to improve their own healthcare from a variety of sources and information centers. Patients want to be able to come to their doctor with specific ideas that they’ve already researched and hear the doctor’s thought-out advice on the patients’ ideas.

4. Medical Navigation Assistance- Patients want personal guidance navigating the complicated medical system.

Retraining Doctors

The market is moving away from the old health economy, and Mr. Mark Aubry and his colleagues are training medical professionals to smoothly make that shift.
