Government mandates have descended upon our lives, overshadowing the virus. The two faced beast shows no signs of slowing down, and we’re fast approaching either a major clash, or a point of no return as the Western global community fades into soft tyranny.
“It’s just 15 days to slow the spread”
“It’s just a mask”
“It’s just a couple of weeks of isolation, even though you’re healthy.”
“It’s just plexiglass partitions”
“It’s just pods for your kids”
“It’s just a few months of school on Zoom”
“Just transfer your business online”
“You may keep your restaurant open, but only for takeout”
I don’t recognize the world, the countries I grew up in, my neighbors, the school administrators, and the expressionless, masked faces of my countrymen when I’m out in public.
Human rights are something we’re born with, because we, as humans, have the ability from God to attain those rights. Human rights are anything that one can achieve if he were alone on a desert island. The right live. The right to speak freely. The right to practice religion how he sees fit. The right to self defense. There’s no such thing as a “right” that goes against nature, or that can only be achieved by forcing others into action.
As a civilized society, we’ve expanded quite a bit on what we consider to be human rights, and we’ve organized our societies as such, through the general consensus that’s called democracy, and a general agreement to abide by the rules the society set.
What happens when the rules of the game we’ve all been playing our entire lives gets flipped on it’s head? The board just got flipped over, the cards reshuffled, and a few arrogant players decided they get to change the rules for everyone. Period. No exceptions, and if you don’t play along, you’re selfish. If you don’t play along, you can’t travel anymore, and you can’t go to theaters, restaurants, bars, or your kid’s school performance.
We’re not just NPCs, marching along, blindly listening the TV. Well, some of us are, but this isn’t meant for them. This is meant for anyone out there who objects to ANY and ALL mandates related to Covid. We are adults. The government works for us, and too many of us have forgotten that. In a free society, the government’s role is to give us honest information about the virus, present various valid opinions on how to live alongside a virus, implement optional testing, treatment and vaccine programs, beef up the hospitals because China released a pandemic on the world, and then take a giant step back and protect our rights as free people.
There are people out there who can understand on an emotional level why gov’t issued mask mandates might make sense, or mandated vaccine proof to attend an event makes them feel more comfortable. But it’s imperative to understand that those mandates don’t end where YOU deem the red line is. Once you acquiesce to the very first mandate, that control has been handed over, and 18 months later we still don’t have it back. We only get it back when we take it back. It’s time to push back against every single Covid mandate that still exists.
You want to wear a mask? Wear one
You want to isolate if you’re healthy? Go ahead
You want to get vaccinated? Amazing.
You want to shut down your business because you’re scared of Covid? Good luck.
You want to check customers at the door for vaxx passports and masks? There’s a market for customers who want that.
But for goodness sake, GOML.
