In 2016 I voted for Hillary. I had been completely sucked into the YouTube world of CNN/MSNBC clips throughout that election season. I cried like an idiot when she lost.
Trump gave his first press conference post-inauguration in front of gold curtains. He took insane questions from the press and hit them all out of the park for 90 minutes. It was pretty much the first time I had seen Trump himself speak, as opposed to watching his words through the filter of CNN trash.
I felt like the world had shifted somehow as the curtain continued to be pulled back and the core of what Trump spoke about became clear. Throughout his presidency, I came to appreciate his efforts, see his genuine love for the American people and the American dream, and fight like hell against the sick rot in DC that's lunging for our freedoms.
In 2024, after the most disastrous presidential term of my lifetime, we're watching the sick rotten machine lunge toward our freedoms once again by doing everything possible to lock up the man who represents the freedoms that millions of us crave.
It's the kind of story we hear about historical times and question - why didn't anyone do anything at that point, or at that point, or at that point- not realizing how slowly the tyranny creeps up on you, until one day you wake up, and you're in it.
There is a global tipping point rushing towards us. Dark authoritarian and tyrannical forces are openly and proudly demanding more power and receiving it from a weak Western world, so obsessed with tolerance that their brains fell out. They became fully tolerant of the intolerant.
When that tipping point arrives in every nation, the question will be which side holds more power? Those who crave freedom, or those who want to yank your freedoms out of your hands and make you submit?
We've never had to fight for freedom on a societal level before. We grew up in a real Golden Era. Created a generation of weak people, because we could afford to. Weak men make hard times, so our task is to strengthen up.
I hope President Trump receives so many silent voices voting for him, that the other side couldn't cheat their way out of it even if they throw everything they have. We need the sheer strength of Trump to right this Titanic led by Biden's weakness.
At this point, a vote for Trump is a privilege afforded to every American so he or she can spit in the face of the rotten machine.

"We've never had to fight for freedom on a societal level before."
It seems to me that people have been fighting for freedom on a societal level in the US for quite a few decades now. They haven't necessarily been winning. But they've been fighting.
