"It was pretty much the first time I had seen Trump himself speak" -- I love when people finally hear the real Trump. It happened to me as well. Gives me hope.
"We've never had to fight for freedom on a societal level before."
It seems to me that people have been fighting for freedom on a societal level in the US for quite a few decades now. They haven't necessarily been winning. But they've been fighting.
It's quite difficult to win against those that have the power to steal OUR money because they've been doing it for centuries and have gotten very good at it and have a huge system in place. Also, they've used that money to twist the truth in so many industries. They've destroyed so much and poisoned so much of OUR world. It's very hard to fight trillions of dollars especially when those that have stolen OUR money make those fighting the fight seem like nut cases to the rest. Plus, they play both sides. So, those who think they are fighting for the right cause might be fighting under the wrong banner.
my wife and initially supported Ted Cruz, but the movement from the working class towards Trump was overwhelming. By the I am a working class, now retired. Had some friends talk to me about Trump. Kind of felt like he did not stand a chance. We started listening to him, he was and still is a beacon of truth and cares about us. The only president that I believed cared about us before that was Ronald Reagan. Like Reagan, Trump gave us hope and delivered. He still stands as the only president that kept his promises and stood up for the every day working guy. We are blessed by God to have Donald Trump, he will come out of this and hopefully will be our next president. Appreciate you and your column. I am 73 and my wife is 68. we pray and seek the face of God for our country and our lives.
And you know this how? I was in my twenties and we had 4 years of Carter, it was so bad that the prime rate to buy a home was at 20 percent. Sorry do not believe you. Move on please
First off, don't be rude. It's quite unbecoming. Second, start researching and you'll find the info. Do your due diligence. Third, he was apart of the Hollywood machine which was part of the c-1-a which had/has ties to rockefellers. It's time to learn and not attack those that have learned. Fourth, just because he reduced the prime rate means absolutely nothing. If you know about history, you should know "they" are just playing games. It's no different then now.
The music is a bit too punk rocky for my present tastes, but the lyrics are quite remarkable. "They can make a disease; they can provide a cure." And this song came out 10 years ago. Wow.
And I think those guys were just having fun, and not particularly trying to be predictive—or melodious. A lot of their songs are satirical, in the same vein as Mad Magazine or National Lampoon. Among their "gems" were Cheesecake Truck and Jesus Was Way Cool.
Doing the same thing over and expecting different results is insanity!! Anyone here remember the Dominion voting machine trial in GA earlier this year where the voting machine expert, in front of the court, used the prosecutors BIC pen to put the voting machine into "safe mode" and then proceeded to change everything and how it can change other machines in the GA network?? We are using the same machines folks!! What we need is: Voter ID, Paper Ballots and make election day a National Holiday otherwise America is gone and sadly we might already be..........
I was not rude, simply told you I do not believe you. If you had spent 4 years under the peanut picker from Georgia, who was a socialist, My grocery bill went up 5 dollars a week. When Reagan took office things changed economically. I remember the day Kennedy was shot, I was 7th grade and I also know that he had intended on shutting down the federal reserve. Strangely enough he was shot, even President Reagan questioned the fed reserve, had a meeting and then decided he wanted to live. By the way when carter was in office I my pay check could not keep up with his stupid decisions. I was a working man back then and when I retired I was still a working man. Inflation like President Trump said is a tax. One last thing Hollywood hated Reagan. Reagan was the only President at the time stood up to the Soviet Union, even told Gorbachev to tear down the wall in Berlin. And we did not have a constant war when Reagan was in office. We did invade Grenada to move the threat of the Cubans out I wonder why the hell am I even answering you.. Wasted ink, you have nice life an God bless you. Not going to answer any more, leave you with this..[Pro 26:4 KJV] 4 Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him.
Amen. Fact is this: had Trump walked away after 2020, the corrupt leviathan, "The Blob" as Mike Benz calls it, would have left him alone & he lives a quiet, comfortable life. Thank God he chose to fight back against the wrong doing. The USA, properly run, can be SUCH a great and productive and powerful (for good) country if we the people want it to become that again. I think of ALL the wasted Trillion$ & "what if?" those resources were directed at actually educating kids, and actually generating opportunity for people to contribute to the economy and country overall again? We send SO MUCH FRIGGIN money and resources away from our own people, our own Vets, via so much avoidable bloodshed.... The Blob, if you will, IS Evil incarnate, if you ask me.
"The USA, properly run, can be SUCH a great and productive and powerful (for good) country if we the people want it to become that again." Wonderfully said!!! That's what this country was before the psychopaths and the city of london took control without the citizens knowing anything.
OUR country is incredible and the people within it (the actual citizens) who work hard and care are incredible, too. We need to do what the prior citizens did. Mom and pop stores need to come back. We need to get rid of the toxic chemicals that are causing health issues including psychological ones (depression, adhd, etc) so that people can function better and feel good. People need to feel good about the jobs they have and the job they do. We need to care about one another. We need to care about our neighbors. Kindness needs to come back. I truly believe when people dressed better 100 hundred years ago and had manners, things were better. Things would be so much better if we could go back to the good this country knew. Feeling good helps people to prosper.
And that's a blessing, because most of the good people in the world are in the Eddie Willers camp -- morally principled but not talented enough to merit a place in John Galt's elite gated community.
Ayn Rand saw no moral problem in having her main character Dagny use her loyal employee Eddie and then abandon him to the wolves without a backward look.
IMO Objectivism is out of place in this conversation.
You’re reading wayyy too much much into my observation. My thinking was the dystopian nightmare of centralized managers controlling everything and its consequences. Pax
Okay, thanks for the clarification. I thought that in mentioning the novel, you were implying that we should try to follow Rand's solution for the dystopia. She herself was dedicated to trying to apply it in real life.
The nightmare she described as fiction is becoming reality, and the people pushing it are out in the open. But stopping at fatalism -- "this is our future" -- will only play into their hands.
“In 2024, after the most disastrous presidential term of my lifetime, we're watching the sick rotten machine lunge toward our freedoms once again by doing everything possible to lock up the man who represents the freedoms that millions of us crave.” Well said! All of it. Thank you. I believe every American except the communist, socialist, Marxist, fascist and elitist ones feel this way and know this is the truth of the matter. It’s a sad, scary day in the good ole US of A. Not sure this gets fixed. We don’t have the power and I’ve said before no way they’re EVER giving it back up. No way.
Well, I should read the whole post before commenting, yes, I wasn’t a Trump fan however, I voted against Hillary, and that first inauguration speech really opened my eyes to who the man is, in 2020 I voted for Trump because I thought he was the person for the job, i’m sure some of the things he said in that speech put a target on his back

Welcome 🙏 It’s a pleasure to have anyone who has had the veil lifted from their weary and tired eyes.
God gave us freedom, not man.
It’s a privilege to have freedom of choice. Let’s have mercy and grace.
Excellent & accurate article

Reagan was apart of the rockefeller group of puppets.

Carter was such a jackass. Even I could see that and I was a liberal idiot at that time.

"They".
Before you comment, especially in an arrogant, obnoxious way, learn actual history!!!! Clearly, you either know nothing or are controlled op.
You sound like a controlled op.
Oh! "They" again? The all powerful "They" controlled Reagan. Who's pulling Slow Joe's strings, I wonder?
THEY (The Hierarchy Excluding, Enslaving and Exterminating You) are not almighty, but they'd like to be.
Here's an old song about They. It's entitled "They" and although it's a bit hard on the ears, it's also insightful, not to mention inciteful.

We are in the process of living out the book “Atlas Shrugged”…read this to see your future. Pax

Well of course we must resist them at every turn…however if we don’t well wind up like Canada …which is well on its way etc

How few open minds there are now who can see and hear what’s in front of them and not get all of their opinions from the media. Thank you for this.
He's all we have at this point. A vote for Dems is basically national suicide. Nasty evil people.
You have just articulated my exact situation. I’m not alone! Thank you for giving me a voice.
Well said but…
Ms Hecht, why the last minute disclaimer?
