I'm surprised how few people recognize that Iran is using Hamas to do its dirty work. And the Jew bashing is nauseating. You'd think people would remember what happened to the last guy who thought he could eradicate the Jews.
I feel the same as you about living in Israel. The problem is when people make aliya and don't have the faith (faithfulness) to adapt to the changes and patiently put down roots -- they return to their old home after a few years and blame the failure on everything except themselves.
After 40 years of seeing this trend, I've stopped trying to talk people into it. Especially American Jews. The spark of desire will come from GOD (as it did for you, and for me) or not at all.
But don't worry, Etana. He will finish what He started.

You want some time for honesty. Read some history. This started in the early 1900s and the slaughter and removal of over 750,000 Palestinians in 1948. How did it feel to look out that lovely view and know that it was stolen from the indigenous people there for hundreds and hundreds years? Blood on your hands. Save your pity party, from another Jew who knows her history.

I am a US born Gentile Messianic Christian and believe that God is calling the Jews back to Israel. Persecution and the possible coming civil war and unrest will be the most likely scenarios for the Jews to leave the US and return to Israel.
