Never forget that when Thalidomide was first marketed as a 'safe' drug to counter anxiety and morning sickness in pregnant mothers in the 1950s, it took two doctors (two!) who were initially ignored and vilified, to point out the causal effect of thousands of birth defects happening around the world. It took about seven years. That also means that thousands, if not millions of doctors either ignored or chose not to make the link between the drug and its effects. It seems we're at that point again. We have to be vigilant, persistent and support the truth-seekers - very grateful for all your work, Etana.
